A recipient who finds a document bearing a Z-Forensics seal can initiate a verification request. The document owner or authorized administrator decides whether to grant access and which evidence the requester may review.

What is Z-Forensics?

Does Z-Forensics stop someone from editing a PDF?

It does not prevent someone from attempting to alter a downloaded copy. It makes an altered or inconsistent copy easier to identify when the document is checked against the trusted original record and its verification evidence.

Can Z-Forensics verify printed documents?

A Z-Forensics seal can be scanned from an eligible printed or scanned copy and used to initiate verification against the corresponding trusted record.

Can anyone access the original document by scanning the seal?

No. Scanning the seal can initiate a verification request, but the document owner or an authorized administrator controls access to the original record and supporting evidence.

What happens after permission is granted?

The authorized requester can compare the document with its trusted record and review only the verification evidence made available to them, such as document integrity, status, signer activity, workflow events, or audit history.

Does ZaferSign expose documents or customer data through blockchain?

No. The ZaferSign SaaS platform does not expose complete documents, document contents, or customer data through a public blockchain. Blockchain-backed evidence uses cryptographic records, such as document hashes and transaction evidence, to support verification and auditability. Documents remain protected by ZaferSign's storage and access controls and are available only to authorized workflow participants and users explicitly granted access.

How is Z-Forensics different from a digital signature?

A digital signature supports signer identity and document integrity at signing. Z-Forensics adds a controlled way to verify a document later, including after a digital or printed copy has moved outside the original workflow.
